Our little guy is now 7 months old. Still no teeth! He scoots backwards and in circles. He'll get up on his knees and push up all the way, but has only a few times been up on all fours. He doesn't talk much, he's pretty quiet unless he's hungry- then he'll start in with the "mama" and "Baba" he says the P sound, but nothing else after that- maybe Papa will be next? He's still a very happy baby. He sits up and plays with his toys for a long time. He goes from sitting to his tummy purposefully (and without faceplanting most of the time) He is sleeping better during the day, still wakes up at night though. Our home scale says he's 18 1/2 lbs, he goes to the dr next week so we'll see for sure then. He seems to be leveling out though on his weight gain.
He won't eat solids in the morning, so he's still only getting them at night every once in a while. I try to do it nightly, but sometimes we forget- he doesn't seem to mind much. He likes apple cobbler cereal bars (hey, they are all natural and organic, so while they might be loaded w/ sugar, they're good...ish) and green beans. He shared a pushup w/ his daddy this past weekend while I was shooting. Shad said he went crazy on it and got mad when he took it way from him.
Thomas has quite a memory. Callie bumped into him over the weekend and he'd scream every time she tried to get close to him. He didn' t hold a grudge long though. A while back he grabbed french fries and they were hot and he squeezed them and screamed and after that he wouldn't dare touch one again- but he would eat them :)
The girls are still enjoying summer break. They went to summer school for two weeks and liked seeing their friends again. Now we'll just have daily swimming until we leave in a few weeks for Illinois for the Grand. We're excited about our first big trip in our motorhome.
