11 Months

Wow, time has certainly passed- one more month and our little guy will be 1 already.

T has been busy this month. He has two new teeth- the upper and lower front left teeth (is there a correlation b/t the order teeth came in and hand dominance?- will have to google later since I think he's going to be a leftie). He says "dog" and "that" now. He chews on everything (still). He's a happy guy, still getting lots of comments on his hair, haha. He climbs on everything and is going to be a daredevil I think (even more than Callie). He is very interactive- he loves to play and tease. On Thursday Lunchdays w/ Grandma Bo, he'll act like he's offering Grandma Bo something, then pull it away and then eat it and smile. He thinks he's so funny. He loves his sisters. His favorite toy right now is probably a ball. He'll throw the ball around and crawl after it or, better yet, find something to hit the ball w/ and chase after it. I hope this isn't an indication that he's going to be a hockey player! Maybe golf? That's better from a mother's point of view! Thomas will stand for a long time by himself until he realizes he's not holding onto anything! I still think Natalee will walk before he does! I'm looking forward to him walking just b/c his hands won't be all over every dirty floor everywhere. He comes home from circus and his hands are icky black!

As for the girls, they've been busy too. Soccer is officially over, we had the team pizza party a week ago. The girls made some good friends on the team and we'll miss them. Shad's going to try to keep the team together next year and get the same players. Callie is working hard in school. She's reading "Bob" books and short words, preparing for a reading explosion which will surely follow in the next several months. She hasn't quite realized that she can read everything, but it'll come. She's working on addition at school and geography, she's learning the continents. Callie has a friend, Melina, whom she loves dearly. Melina's father stopped me today to introduce himself b/c Melina, he said, talks constantly about Callie too. Maycee started circus and is in Callie's mini acro class and the two of them have fun together. When they get bored, they wander off and start dong their own thing. Callie is obsessed with the handbalancing girls in circus, and I predict that in two years she'll be doing that. She does headstands all over the house, so it'd fit her well.

Emmy is the big shot in her class. She's the helper, patting the backs of nappers, giving lessons, helping the teacher. She LOVES this role. She's also learning new things too. On our way home from Arizona earlier this month, Emmy said, "Look, that mountain looks like Brazil! Do you see it? Those two bumps and then the big part over there!!" Um... yeah.... Emmy has beautiful handwriting and her favorite work in school is homonyms (I had to look it up, here for those other ignorant folks like me: homonym is one of a group of words that share the same spelling and the same pronunciation but have different meanings)... Emmy only has about another month in her class before she'll move up to the big kid class.

We have a busy month ahead of us: Polar Express this weekend in Williams, AZ, the Christmas Party, Christmas trip to Disneyland, Thomas' 1st Birthday party and then Christmas. What fun!

They are getting big so fast!!! Your kids are great. My girls love playing with them. Maycee always says she's going to get big like Emmy and Callie.
